Implementation and Impact
Policy ‘Implementation’: Government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana
Prior to joining the International Growth Centre I was embedded within the Ministry of Communities, Government of Guyana 2016 - 2018. In this role I was working closely with the Minister, Permanent Secretary and Head of Planning. Guyana had its first local government elections for 20 years in 2016, and I helped build local government capacity, particularly focusing on municipal finance reform.
